you said it!!

consoles are for noobs....

but look at the flipside..how many people you know of will actually spend their time configuring their systems just for playing games.Consoles are one time investments..and they dont suck up your brains in all those so called compatibility configurations. The ease of playing games is what sells nowdays, and I think that consoles dont disappoint in that front. You just have to pop in a blue ray and thats it!!No installation troubles et al!!You then get a pure full HD interactive masterpiece on your LCD screen.Think about it!!!!!

I too personally feel that a console is a dried piece of shit with an icing.....but the companies are putting in a lot of their time and money in the "icing" thing...

p.s:-You can buy a compatible keyboard and mouse for ps3 too :D

Its correct to say that any OS will get updated with time. That being said, I do not believe updates will "cripple" software compatibility. Minor issues can show up but patches would fix that. Consoles get updated too nowadays and a firmware update is potentially more dangerous as it can wreck hardware. OS updates generally would not. As far as "blaming" something on battery life etc, that would effectively kill the platform right there. The whole point would be for Apple to sincerely support developers.

Mac as a gaming platform as one major issue. Apple as a company makes drastic changes to its OS at it's own whims and fancies, thus crippling a lot of work that's done for the platform. If it was a purely gaming platform, they would never do anything drastic, but since it's secondary there's no guarantee that they'll just ban all gaming products blaming it on battery life and what not!

Hey,
I Guess I Agree With You On The Topic.Mac's have a hell lot of hardware limitations..and they dont have a long list of supported games either..but a mac is not bad for graphic designers..but i'd recommend a pc for gaming.Nothing beats a regular custom built pc
